|Melody Versoza Biography|
and Marius met while taking opera classes at Cal State Fullerton.
Their instructor, Michael Kurkjian, took an interest in the two, and began giving them private lessons outside of CSUF with the hope of developing some kind of program for minority singers.
Unfortunately, Michael died suddenly one day before any real program could be developed. Michael's close friend and associate, famed vocal coach Seth Riggs, then offered Marius and Melody lessons at a reduced rate, which they accepted.
It turns out that Melody's mother long ago in the Philippines took voice lessons from Marius' aunt Daisy (De Pano). It was Daisy who first gave Marius voice lessons here in the US. Yet Marius and Melody met by chance (or fate) at CSUF.
This Daisy connection gets even more interesting when you read the bio of Jubel Obien.
